Neuromodulators

Facial aesthetic medicine
Specialists in treating the signs of ageing
Facial wrinkles appear as a result of the constant repetition of facial muscle contractions during facial expressions, accompanied by the loss of collagen and elastin due to skin ageing.
There are two types of wrinkles:
- Static wrinkles are visible even when your face is at rest and are caused by ageing, sun exposure and other environmental factors. They are usually deep and do not disappear when you relax your facial muscles.
- Dynamic wrinkles are those that form due to the repetition of certain movements; they do not appear when our face is at rest.

What are neuromodulators?
Neuromodulators are substances that, when injected into the face, relax the facial muscles, preventing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles and smoothing static wrinkles, as well as preventing the appearance of wrinkles in the long term. This treatment improves the overall appearance of the epidermis, giving the skin a fresher look without compromising its natural appearance.
The main area where we apply this product is the upper third of the face, treating wrinkles that appear on the forehead when raising the eyebrows, frowning between the eyebrows, and in the periorbicular area known as ‘crow’s feet’.
How long does it take to see the results of treatment with neuromodulators?
The results with neuromodulators are not immediate, and although you will be able to resume your normal routine after leaving the clinic, the effects will appear between the second day and 15 days after treatment, at which point we will carry out a check-up to assess the results.
